Engine Virtual Films is a collaborative venture led by several successful LA and Bay Area film makers and directors. The virtual aspect arose from the fact that they were all so active, out making films and shooting commercial spots, that there was no time (or real need) to be in the office, or even maintain one.

We designed and created their website, standardizing content blocks for creators, portfolios, and news updates, making it easy enough that they could insert modules and update content from wherever they were.

At a time when it seemed almost everyone wanted an Apple style white website, we suggested doing the opposite to emphasize how Engine isn't just another video studio. Going with a predominantly black design, the videos really pop, and maintain the viewers focus, which the team was really excited about.
