FicSci Gallery is one of San Francisco's most unique art destinations. The directors explained to us that they were not just another brick and mortar showroom in the City's crowded art market. Their emphasis on emerging and experimental work, especially those making use of new technologies, and ultimately playful in spirit. The name is an intentional spoonerism of "sci fi" and we used this directive to play up the fun, kitschy vibe their gallery exuded.

First we developed a logo and branding guide so we could work out business cards, mailers and shop signage. Then we designed and built their website, just in time for their first group show. We also adapted the website over it's first few weeks to include things not anticipated by these new gallery owners, so that we could include community outreach, artists bios and shared events.

We also helped set up "call for art" submission pages and mailing campaigns, and even an "alien mascot contest" where artists were encouraged to send in their concept art for a FicSci Alien Avatar.
