We simply love crafting design systems, and print publications are prime candidates for this type of design work. Production schedules are short and deadlines are tight, so having a good framework in place is essential.

Our designers work with publishers to design grid systems and templates for regular periodicals as well as special issues, advertising and promotional items.

Recently we have been porting traditional publications to PDF editions, ebooks, and print-on-demand, each with their own unique challenges and requirements.

Playlist was such a tech gear heavy magazine that new gadgets were showing up for photography every week. It was also the first publication we worked on where a majority of the team were not located at one office, which is more common now.
